On January 25, our youth are going snow tubing at Campgaw Mountain. This will be a long outing from 2:30-8:30PM and we need to purchase tickets soon. Please fill out the permission form by Monday, January 19.

Join us for a special Fall Historic Walking Tour of Ridgewood Road, organized by Corinne Maulsby and the Maplewood Preservation Commission. The tour will kick off at Morrow Church, where we’ll gather in the Sanctuary before setting out to explore the neighborhood’s rich history.

Our own Mike Hertl will lead the first stop right here at Morrow—sharing stories from our 200+ years as part of Maplewood’s spiritual and civic life.

All are welcome to attend. No registration required—just meet at the Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. and enjoy a walk through history.

A new Basic Emergency Response Team Training will be offered on Saturday, November 1, from 9am to 4pm at Montclair State University by UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). Those needing re-certification may attend from noon to 4pm. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. The training is open to all—you do not need to be a member of the United Methodist Church to participate.

Spots are limited, so register here by October 6.

By joining an Early Response Team, you can join the vital work of bringing hope, healing, and practical help to communities when they need it most.

Our annual Church Conference with our District Superintendent, Rev. Williams III, is scheduled for Monday, October 20 at 7:30 p.m. in person at Morrow Church.

JYF (Junior Youth Fellowship) for middle school students launches this Sunday at 5 p.m! We’ll get to know one another through some fun games, then join MYF for dinner at 6 p.m.

JYF and MYF will head out for our annual Corn Maze excursion on Friday, October 17! This year for MYF only, we are including a lock-in at the church when we arrive back. All MYF students that attend the corn maze must also stay for the lock in.

We ask that all youth arrive by 4:45PM that Friday. JYF will be picked up at 10PM, and MYF will be picked up/leave at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 18. All participants need to fill out the 2025-2026 registration form and corresponding permission slip by October 10 (see links below). In honor of the feast day of St. Francis of Assissi, all God’s critters and their caretakers are invited to gather for a special blessing outside at the front steps of our church on Sunday, October 5 at 1 p.m.

Plan to join the Morrow family in worship at the 10:30 sanctuary service on September 28 as we recognize and celebrate Dr. Holland Jancaitis' 15 years at Morrow Memorial UMC. There will be glorious music and much gratitude!

Let’s welcome the school year with a Blessing of the Backpacks! Bring your backpack, messenger bag, lunch box, or any other school item you'd like to have blessed to our 10AM worship service on August 31. All students, teachers, and staff, from preschool to grad school, are welcome. Join us as we pray for a fun and fruitful year of learning for all students, teachers, and school staff. 

As Pastor Danny and his family settle into Maplewood life, church members are hosting gatherings to get to know our community.

Garland Harwood and Becky Straw will host the first gathering, a backyard BBQ potluck catering to families with nursery, pre-school, and elementary-aged children (though any are absolutely welcome), at their home in South Orange on Sunday, August 3rd, at Noon.
