Loving Our Immigrant Neighbors
When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
Leviticus 19:33-34
Why we seek to love our neighbor
“And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me.” Matthew 25:40
“Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7
