On August 17, 2026, Cynthia Lindsay joined Morrow as our new Director of Family Ministries, bringing a deep love for the local church and a real gift for walking alongside children and youth.

Cynthia is pursuing dual degrees at Princeton Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Christian Education and Spiritual Formation, and is a declared candidate for ordained eldership in the United Methodist Church. She describes herself as someone who is passionate about social justice, loves preaching, and believes the local church can change the world.

Cynthia comes to Morrow having served in a range of ministry roles across several New Jersey United Methodist congregations in Kingston and Hopewell, from children and family ministry to program coordination and worship leadership. Her approach took shape early, in Minneapolis, where she tutored students from immigrant families who spoke many languages and came from a range of cultural and religious backgrounds, and where she taught for Urban Plunge, a program that brings church youth groups into the city to wrestle with questions of justice and privilege. Those experiences taught her to listen, to meet people where they are, and to trust that young people are capable of engaging deeply with the questions that matter most. She is a graduate of Augsburg University, where she earned bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Law and in Religion, summa cum laude. This summer, before joining us, she served as chaplain at Camp Pecometh in Maryland.

What drew her to Morrow, in her own words, is "its commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and justice, especially for children and youth." She believes the church can be a place where families slow down, build authentic relationships, ask the hard questions, and know that they are loved by God exactly as they are.

Cynthia and her husband, Nolan, a student at Drew Theological School, are settling into Morrow's Lenox Place parsonage, so you will be seeing them around the neighborhood as well as on Sunday mornings.
